Update!!!

So sorry that I haven't been blogging lately just haven't been on the computer that much lately!!!!
Good news 6 weeks since I've quit smoking!!!!!!!
Everything else is still the same!!!!!
But will leave you with a good laugh that my sister Kit sent me!!!

Can Cold Water Clean Dishes?
This is for all the germ conscious folks that worry about using cold water to clean.

John went to visit his 90 year old grandfather in a very secluded, rural area of West Virginia.
After spending a great evening chatting the night away, John's grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast.
However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate, and questioned his grandfather asking, 'Are these plates clean?'
His grandfather replied, 'They're as clean as cold water can get them.
Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!'
For lunch the old man made hamburgers.
Again, John was concerned about the plates as his appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that looked like dried egg and asked, 'Are you sure these plates are clean?'
Without looking up the old man said, 'I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them.
Now don't you fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!
'Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town and as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass.
John yelled and said, ' Grandfather, your dog won't let me get to my car'.
Without diverting his attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted
.'COLDWATER, GO LAY DOWN!!!!'

Another 2 weeks have gone by!!

Wishing my Dad a Happy Fathers Day!!!!

Can't Believe its been 2 weeks since my last entry but I've been busy with unzipping files & my flower beds & spent 2 hours Wednesday grooming Foxy & than this morning 1 1/2 more hours than half an hour giving us a bath!!!! LOL

Any how the reason for my entry is for my Dad this time!
I've a few great Father's Day kits but thought that this kit would be the best to use since it does show what his past was all about
FARMING!!!!!!!
I used DeDe Smith's Farm Tearz kit & one of Boolands overlays from her 100 Day's of freebies!!!!
So HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD!!!!!!

A husband and wife are shopping when the man picks up a case of beer and sticks in into the shopping cart.

'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife.

'They're on sale, only $10.00 for 24 cans', he says.

'Put them back.

We can't afford it,' says the wife and they carry on shopping...

A few aisles later the woman picks up a $20.00 jar of face cream and sticks it into the cart.

'What do you think you're doing?' asks the man, 'It's my face cream.

It makes me look beautiful, 'she says.

Nothing much going on here except working on cleaning out my flower beds which is taking forever!!! LOL

A Keeper
Their marriage was good, their dreams focused.
Their best friends lived barely a wave away.
I can see them now, Dad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat and Mom in a housedress, lawn mower in one hand, and dish-towel in the other.
It was the time for fixing things.
A curtain rod, the kitchen radio, screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress.
Things we keep.
It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy.
All that re-fixing, eating, renewing, I wanted just once to be wasteful.
Waste meant affluence.
Throwing things away meant you knew there'd always be more.
But then my mother died, and on that clear summer's night, in the warmth of the hospital room, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more.

Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes away...never to return.
So... While we have it... it's best we love it... And care for it....
And fix it when it's broken..... And heal it when it's sick.
This is true... For marriage.... And old cars.... And children with bad report cards.....
Dogs and cats with bad hips.... And aging parents.... And grandparents.
We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.
Some things we keep.
Like a best friend that moved away or a classmate we grew up with.
There are just some things that make life important, like people we know who are special....
And so, we keep them close!

I received this from someone who thinks I am a 'keeper', so I've sent it to the people I think of in the same way...
Now it's your turn to send this to those people that are 'keepers' in your life.
Send it back to the person that sent it to you if they too are a keeper.
Good friends are like stars....
You don't always see them, but you know they are always there
People are made to be Loved and Things are made to be Used
There is so much confusion in this World because People are being Used and Things are being Loved.

63 and Pregnant
A woman went to the emergency room, where she was seen by a young new doctor.
After about 3 minutes in the examination room, the doctor told her she was pregnant.
She burst out of the room and ran down the corridor screaming.
An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was; after listening to her story,
he calmed her down and sat her in another room.

Then the doctor marched down the hallway to the first doctor's room.
'What the hell's wrong with you?' he demanded.
'This woman is 63 years old, she has two grown children and several
grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?!!
The new doctor continued to write on his clipboard and without looking up said:
'Does she still have the hiccups?'

THE SNEEZE
They walked in tandem, each of the 92 students filing into the already crowded auditorium.
With their rich maroon gowns flowing .. and the traditional caps, they looked almost ... as grown up as they felt.
Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.
This class would NOT pray during the commencements- ---not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.
The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling.
They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.

The speeches were nice, but they were routine..... until the final speech received a standing ovation.
A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone.
He stood still and silent for just a moment,and then, it happened.

All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!!
The student on stage.. simply looked at the audience and said, 'GOD BLESS YOU, each and every one of you!' And he walked off stage...

The audience exploded into applause.
This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.
Isn't this awonderful story?

A man boarded an airplane in New Orleans , with a box of crabs.

A female crew member took the box and promised to put it in the crew's refrigerator, which she did.

The man firmly advised her that he was holding her personally responsible for the crabs staying frozen, and proceeded to rant and rave about what would happen if she let the crabs thaw out.

Shortly before landing in New York , she announced over the intercom to the entire cabin, 'Would the gentleman who gave me the crabs in New Orleans , please raise your hand?'

Not one hand went up..so she took them home and ate them herself.

Men never learn.

So Sorry that it's been awhile!!!!

But was battling a cold & the darn flu bug!!!!!!
Now my ucler is acting up from to much stress!!!! LOL
Not much else going on right now but I will have a special post tomorrow for a very special person that gave birth to me!!!! My MOM!!!!!

With that said I'll leave you with this sent to me from my sister!!!!

One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me.
I was maybe 2 1/2 years old and had just recovered from an accident.
Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a get-well gift and it
was one of my favorite toys.
Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when
I brought Daddy a little cup of 'tea', which was just water.
After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea,
my Mom came home.
My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him
a cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!'
My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea
for Daddy and she watches him drink it up.

Then she says, (as only a mother would know... :)
'Did it ever occur to you that the only place that baby can
reach to get water is the toilet?'

Remembrance of a Loving Husband & Father

Don I was always your Lightening & you my Thunder!!

Now as I sit here tears streaming down my face I sit here remembering the day Feb 18, 2001!

I was sitting at the computer as I am now and I heard EMS dispatched to Station 49 [Amity Fire Co] Firefighter fallen down a flight of stairs.

Jace stayed the night at a friends and Derrick was still in bed.

I yelled to Derrick " Let's go!!!!! "It's Daddy he fell!!!"

I knew deep in my heart it was you!!

You were doing your Chief Engineer's paperwork as you did every Sunday.

We get to the station & to this day I still see you laying there on the concrete floor.

I tell you I'm here & that "I LOVE YOU" but I step aside & let everyone else take care of you because I had to compose myself since I knew what was ahead of us was not good!

By this time someone had gone & gotten Jace so he was there too!!!!

We watched Sky Flight take off with you on board to take you to Brandywine Hospital in Coatsville.

One of the guy's drove us down to the hospital where we waited patiently for the BAD NEWS!

I'm not going to go on further with the details of the hospital but on Monday Feb 19th, 2001

We were given the option of donating your body for "the Gift of Life" which we had already decided we wanted to do because "As in Life you would do in Death! Help others!!"

The Three of us said out final farewell to you in the hospital!
Now today is Feb 19th, 2008 and marks 7 years since you've gone to Heaven to be with our great creator!!

We just want you to know that "We still miss you & Love you with all our HEARTS!!!!!
