Are You To Busy for a Friend...
One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each one.
Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.
It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the paper.
That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.
On Monday she gave each student his or her list.
Before long, the entire class was smiling.
'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.
No one ever mentioned those papers in class again.
She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose.
The students were happy with themselves and one another.
That group of students moved on.

Several years later, one of the students was killed in VietNam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student.
She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before.
He looked so handsome, so mature.
The church was packed with his friends.
One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin.
The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.
As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. '
Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked.
She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.'

After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon.
Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.
'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed.
We thought you might recognize it.'
Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times.
The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.
'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'

All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list.
It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.'
Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album.'
'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary'
Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'

That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried.
She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again.
The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day.
And we don't know when that one day will be So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important.
Tell them, before it is too late.
And One Way To Accomplish This Is:
Forward this message on.
If you do not send it, you will have, once again passed up the wonderful opportunity to do something nice and beautiful.
If you've received this, it is because someone cares for you and it means there is probably at least someone for whom you care.
If you're 'too busy' to take those few minutes right now to forward this message on, would this be the VERY first time you didn't do that little thing that would make a difference in your relationships?
The more people that you send this to, the better you'll be at reaching out to those you care about.
Remember, you reap what you sow.
What you put into the lives of others comes back into your own.

Sorry for being MIA

Haven't been in the best of moods!!!
Last Monday Oct 1st was my birthday & I want to Thank you all for the wishes!!!!
It was just a awful depressing day for me!!! Missing my husband just had me in such a depressing mood because not having anyone here to celebrate it with!!!
Both my son's were working, Derrick called me & than Thursday night him & his girlfriend took me out to dinner at Yellow House Hotel, Its a very old place and people come from far away to eat there and its said to be haunted!!!
Jace gave me a birthday card & a Big hug!!!!!

I was going to post yesterday but than I got a phone call from Jace's friends Mom at 3:45pm, He was in a accident with his motorcycle and had taken him to the new St Joseph's Hospital that I've got no idea were its even at, I use to always go to the old one in Reading.
I was to upset to drive let alone I don't like driving when its dark.
Well they called me a couple of times to inform me of the long progress of the ER and finally at 9:15pm the hospital called Derrick and he went to pick him up and they finally got home at 10:30pm. He has a concussion And stitches in his left elbow, so that meant I hag to wake him up every couple of hours, he's feeling a little better except his back hurts him!!!
Well I guess that's it for now

It's just so cute & will give you a good laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Till later than!!!

The "Middle Wife" by an Anonymous 2nd grade teacher
I've been teaching now for about fifteen years.
I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second grade classroom a few years back.
When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell.
So I always have a few sessions with my students.
It helps them get over shyness and usually, show-and-tell is pretty tame.
Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them.
If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're welcome.

Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater.
She holds up a snapshot of an infant.
"This is Luke, my baby brother, and I'm going to tell you about his birthday."

"First, Mom and Dad made him as a symbol of their love, and then Dad put a seed in my Mom's stomach, and Luke grew in there.
He ate for nine months through an umbrella cord."
She's standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I'm trying not to laugh and wishing I had my camcorder with me.
The kids are watching her in amazement.

"Then, about two Saturdays ago, my Mom starts saying and going, 'Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh!'
Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans.
"She walked around the house for, like an hour, 'Oh, oh, oh!'
(Now this kid is doing a hysterical duck walk and groaning.)

"My Dad called the middle wife.
She delivers babies, but she doesn't have a sign on the car like the Domino's man.
They got my Mom to lie down in bed like this."
(Then Erica lies down with her back against the wall.)

"And then, pop! My Mom had this bag of water she kept in there in case he got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed, like psshhheew!"
(This kid has her legs spread with her little hands miming water flowing away. It was too much!)

"Then the middle wife starts saying 'push, push,' and 'breathe, breathe.
They started counting, but never even got past ten.
Then, all of a sudden, out comes my brother.
He was covered in yucky stuff that they all said it was from Mom's play-center, so there must be a lot of toys inside there."

Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her seat.
I'm sure I applauded the loudest.
Ever since then, when it's show-and-tell day, I bring my camcorder, just in case another "Middle Wife" comes along.

Now you have two choices...laugh and close this page or pass this along to someone else to spread the laughs. I know what I did!!!Live every day as if it is your LAST chance to make someone happy!

Blah Sunday!!!

Well it's been a couple of day's since my last quick post.
Selena you are in all our prayer's!!

Got pretty much of the computer stuff done but still have more to do! LOL
Will be taking a break from it because this week I have over 600 Membership cards to type up for 2008 for the Fire Company which consist of Active & Social members and than some Life Members!!!
It wouldn't be bad if I would have taken typing up in school along time ago!!! LOL
After I get all the names on them I got to go back and put numbers on them all.

Not much else going on so I'll leave you with another joke my sister sent me, just for us old ladies!!

THE UGLY FROG
An older lady was somewhat lonely and decided she needed a pet to keep her company.
So, off to the pet shop she went. She searched and searched.
None of the pets seemed to catch her interest, except this ugly frog As she walked by the jar he was in, she looked and he winked at her.
He whispered, 'I'M SO LONELY, TOO.
BUY ME AND TAKE ME HOME YOU WON'T EVER BE SORRY.'

The old lady figured, what the heck!
She hadn't found anything else. So, she bought the frog.
She placed him in the car, on the front seat beside her.

As she was slowly driving down the road, the frog whispered to her
'KISS ME AND YOU WON'T BE SORRY.'
So! The old lady figured, WHAT THE HECK, and kissed the frog.
IMMEDIATELY the frog turned into an absolutely gorgeous, sexy, young, handsome prince.

THE PRINCE THEN RETURNED THE OLD LADY'S KISS.
SUDDENLY THE OLD LADY FELT HERSELF TRANSFORMING FROM HIS KISS.
NOW CAN YOU GUESS WHAT THE OLD LADY TURNED INTO?
COME ON GUESS! OOOOOOOHHHHHHH COME ON -- DONT BE A POOP!

SHE TURNED INTO THE FIRST HOLIDAY INN SHE COULD FIND!!!
She's old....... NOT DEAD!!!!!
OLD LADIES ROCK!!!!!!

Talk to you all later!!! HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TGIF!

Yipppeeee!!!!
Yesterday my son did bring my computer stand boxes up for me and I spent the afternoon getting everything out of the boxes to make sure everything was there and separating all the cotton pickin screws & other hardware & stuck them in small containers with their parts # on them.
Today I got it together & have to wait for whenever he's home to help me flip it over & nail the back to it! After I'm done posting here I'm going to finish putting the drawers together that way they are finished so hopefully by Sunday I can put this old desk in my craft room & use it for my sewing machine & crafting projects! Than the fun begins by taking the computer, printer apart & rehooking it all up with my new external hard drive & the new monitor for DSL on the new stand!!!
Thank you all who stopped by & left me comments!!!
My front flower took me along time to get done doing a hour each morning of weeding weeds & morning glory vines that are every once in a while peeping thru!
I'll never plant them there again!!!
They were nice when they grew up over the arbor but not when they took over the whole bed!
This year I put artificial vines on the arbor & planted marigolds in the garden.
Well better get going I'm not getting anything done sitting here!
Till later See YA!

Dull & ticked

Not much going on I'm just so darn ticked that I have my computer stand sitting in the garage since Friday & can't get my son to bring it upstairs so I can get it put together & get everything set up with my computer , new DSL monitor & external hard drive!!!
Sure the boxes are very heavy I managed to get them to the doorway but I want to get this all straightened out in here!!!! It sure sucks when you've got a bad back & knee's! LOL

Oh well on a better note my niece's girlfriend emailed me this and I thought I'd share it since it made me laugh!

ULTIMATE FEMALE JOKE
It has long been contended that there are male jokes and thereAre female jokes.
And there are unisex jokes.
Here is one I Consider a true female joke.
A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends when an exceptionally tall, handsome, extremely sexy middle-aged man entered.

He was so striking that the woman couldnot take her eyes off him.
The young-at-heart man noticed her overlyattentive stare and walked directly toward her.
(As all men will)
Before she could offer her apologies for so rudely staring, heleaned over and whispered to her, "I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how kinky, for $20.00 only on one condition.

Flabbergasted, the woman asked what the condition was.
The man replied, you have to tell me what you want me to do in just“three words.”
The woman considered his proposition for a moment, and then slowly removed a $20.00 bill from her purse, which she pressed into theman's hand along with her address.

She looked deeply into his eyes, and slowly and meaningfully said....“Clean my house."

2 Days in a Row!

Well here he is Shirley my pampered little Foxy Bear!!! The pic is from 2 years ago!!!

Well I'm managing another post with another little goodie my sister sent me! LOL

Beautifully stated...
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time.
You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.
You'll fight with your best friend.
You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.
You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.
So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset, is a minute of happiness you want get back.

Well thats it for tonight!

Friday, August 24, 2007

Well I'm trying getting better at this!!!!

Evening!!!!
Wow! I'm managing another post!!! LOL
My sister email this to me and I thought I'd share it here because it rings so true!!!!!

Just checking in

A minister passing through his church in the middle of the day, Decided to pause by the altar and see who had come to pray.
Just then the back door opened, a man came down the aisle, The minister frowned as he saw the man hadn't shaved in a while.
His shirt was kind a shabby and his coat was worn and frayed, the man knelt, he bowed his head, Then rose and walked away.
In the days that followed, each noon time came this chap, each time he knelt just for a moment, A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister's suspicions grew, with robbery a main fear, He decided to stop the man and ask him, 'What are you doing here?'
The old man said, he worked down the road. Lunch was half an hour.
Lunchtime was his prayer time, For finding strength and power.
'I stay only moments, see, because the factory is so far away; as I kneel here talking to the Lord, This is kind a what I say:
'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.
DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY.'

The minister feeling foolish, told Jim, that was fine.
He told the man he was welcome To come and pray just anytime Time to go, Jim smiled, said 'Thaks.' He hurried to the door.
The minister knelt at the altar, he'd never done it before.
His cold heart melted, warmed with love, and met with Jesus there.
As the tears flowed, in his heart, he repeated old Jim's prayer:
'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.
I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY.'

Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn't come.
As more days passed without Jim, he began to worry some.
At the factory, he asked about him, learning he was ill.

The hospital staff was worried, But he'd given them a thrill.
The week that Jim was with them, Brought changes in the ward His smiles, a joy contagious. Changed people, were his reward.
The head nurse couldn't understand why Jim was so glad, when no flowers, calls or cards came, Not a visitor he had.
The minister stayed by his bed, He voiced the nurse's concern: No friends came to show they cared. He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Jim spoke up and with a winsome smile; 'the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know, that he's in here all the while everyday at noon He's here, a dear friend of mine, you see, He sits right down, takes my hand, Leans over and says to me:
'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN.
ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKIN IN TODAY.'

If this blesses you, pass it on.
Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart May God hold you in the palm of His hand and Angels watch over you.
Please pass this page on to your frends & loved ones.
If you aren't ashamed Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me,' I will be ashamed of you before my Father.' So this is me ... Just Checking In

New Year Maybe I can do better Blogging!!

Hopefully I can get my butt in gear and do this blogging better!
Will try anyway
But Homelife here hasn't been to great with being sick and finely feeling a little better now!
BUT After Tuesday night I had a nice big surprise and hopefully things here at my house can get back to normal[Some what anyway] my youngest son's girlfriend has FINALLY moved out!!!!
I'm so glad she lived here for a year with her 5 year old son, and didn't work or even pay rent or do a dam thing here to help out, so my bills have added up, but hopefully now I can get them straightened out without spending extra money on electric, water, food, etc.
I tried many times by telling her to move out and only to found out that I'd have to go to an Attorney and sure didn't have the money to do that either.
My son is starting to do better to! LOL
Enough rambling for tonight!
